"Liturgical Contrasts"
This year's program is based on music written by Claude Debussy, David Gillingham, Guiseppe Verdi, and Samuel Barber. "Liturgical Contrasts" opens with Sunken Cathedral by Debussy, which depicts the legend of a city cursed to the depths of the ocean and rising once a year. The second production is the first part of Gillingham's Stained Glass. The third section of the show showcases a beautiful chorale from Barber's massive work, Prayers of Kierkegaard. The next section is a transcription of Dies Irae from Verdi's Requiem. The last section of the show incorporates a ballad from a different part of the Prayers of Kierkegaard and a wrap up version of Stained Glass.

"Minimalism"
This year's show is comprised of 3 minimalist songs. The opener is Short Ride in a Fast Machine by John Adams. The ballad is Layers from Richard L. Saucedo's Minimally Speaking. The show will close with The Canyon by Philip Glass. "Minimalist" is a style of music that is characterized by extreme sparseness and simplicity. A small fragment of music is repeated over and over, with small changes over time, layered upon each other, until it becomes something quite different.1
